Reserve Seats to Blueshift: The Chopin Project

from $0.00

With Blueshift we invite audiences into a subtle dream-world that shifts between ancient and modern dances set to original music and re-compositions of famed composer Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin. The performance will feature sections from Les Sylphides, an 18th century classic by legendary choreographer Mikhail Mikhailovich Fokine set to the music of Chopin. We will also present new choreography by artistic director, Megan Yackovich, and former principal dancer at New York City Ballet, Jock Soto, each of whom reimagine Chopin's eternal scores into dance designed for modern audiences. Ballet Taos is excited to welcome six emerging professionals joining six young apprentices culminating in our first Summer Professional Company Project.
